Windrock Extreme Option – Same Weekend as Rocky Ridge
For everyone coming to Rocky Ridge in March — that is still our main club run and we’re pumped for it. It’s going to be a great weekend.
That said… a few of us with questionable decision-making skills and highly impractical rigs will also be heading to Windrock that same weekend. We wanted to open up an EXTREME-level option for anyone looking to send it a little harder.
Important details:
- Windrock = ONE ride level: EXTREME only
- Expect hard trails, body damage, broken parts, and stories your wife won’t believe
- This is optional — most of the club will still be at Rocky Ridge having a blast
Logistics:
- Some folks will be staying at Windrock Gap Campground
- We’ll meet in front of the General Store on Saturday at 9:30 AM

rig of the month
Parker Chase is the February 2026 Rig of the Month!
If you were with the Hard group during the Sweethearts Ride you may have seen Parker pulling cable for folks or spotting them through obstacles! A second-generation wheeler. Parker's Rig is a well-known YJ that he picked up a little while ago and it has seen its share of use...some might say Abuse. The YJ sports a front King pin style Dana 60 out of some old Chevy. It's filled with a fool proof spool and 5.38 gears. The rear end is a shaved GM 14 bolt that is also spooled and stuffed with 5:38s. Front end is held up with 20" Fox air shocks and kept in line with some sort of Link set up. The rear suspension is good old 1800s tech.
Engine and Transmission are the stock units that keep working...Transfer case is a single speed(at least for the moment it is) Atlas.
Body Mods include custom tub mounts and that hard to miss super sexy Purple hard top!
When you see Parker congratulate him on receiving this honor.
January 2026 Rig of the Month-
Alright, let’s get this party started! We have something different for you to get 2026 rolling. Congratulations to Phillip R. Smith and his Toyota Sequoia for being chosen our January 2026 K&I Four Wheelers “Rig of the Month”!
Members may remember that Phil started his K&I wheeling adventures with his daily driver/overlanding Nissan Armada. While Phil was adventurous with the Armada he was still very concerned with tearing it up and leaving himself without wheels for his weekday life.
Enter the in-laws Sequoia…That’s right his wife’s understanding parents are enablers…Gifted him a project. The 2001 Toyota Sequoia you see here. At some point in its life it had been totaled and repaired, so with 330,000 miles on the 4.7 v8 it was time for this Toyota to become a wheeler. Phil put the hefty Sequoia on a diet. Removing whatever didn’t need to be there. This raised the rear 3” which he matched with a front lift. After some body mods he has been able to shoehorn in 37s! In a commitment to the traction gods Phil welded the rear axle. He’s still running the stock IFS in the front…that is until it no longer wants to play. So, if you have a straight axle you are wanting to move you may want to add Phil to your friends list. As far as other mods Phil has also reworked the intake to prevent sucking in the environment.
This may not be the fanciest wheeler out there, but he is out there. Having a blast, learning what works, helping out and doing it differently! When you see Phillip congratulate him on receiving this honor! As always if you have additional pictures drop them in the comments.
December 2025 Rig of the Month-
Alright, alright, alright, it's that time again the moment you have been waiting for since Santa flew up the Chimney! That's right Kids K&I Four Wheelers "Rig of The Month". This time we have a really special member of the Club for you...None other than your 2025 Trail Master extraordinaire Michael Snook! That's right that tireless dude that made your wheeling year so much fun.
So, Michael has been a member of K&I since before he could walk. This shows in his passion for the sport, commitment to the club and genuine enjoyment he gets from hanging out with the club. Michael has wheeled several rigs over the years. His current ride is a 2005 LJ with the rock solid 4.0L inline 6 cylinder mated to a 4.0 transfer case. Suspension is the flexy long arm version sitting on 4 cool kid coilovers. Hanging from all this sexiness are a couple of super duty steer axles! That's right he has steering on both ends...CRAZY huh. But wait there's more, this is all rolling on 40" Treps!
When you see Michael congratulate him on this receiving this honor and thank him for making your wheeling year one to remember!!
November 2025 Rig of the Month-
Congratulations to Brian Parker for being chosen K&I Four Wheelers November 2025 "Rig of the Month"! Brian has been around the club for some time and is always willing to lend a hand when needed. Brian's Jeep started life as a as a 2003 TJ Rubicon. over the last 22 years it has seen a few upgrades:
Axles have been refreshed with Chromoly shafts and regeared with 4.88s.
Suspension has been redone; it has been stretched 10" and rear coilovers added to handle 37" tires on cool kid beadlocks!
Body mods include Louvered hood, Flat fenders with matching rear flares and the love it or hate it Comp Cut to accommodate the stretched suspension. As always when you see Brian congratulate him on this honor.
October 2025 Rig of the Month-
Congratulations to long time K&I member Jeff Wearren for being chosen K&I Four Wheelers October 2025 "Rig of the Month"! Jeff has been hanging around with K&I since 2017 when he made the long term financial mistake of going wheeling at the Gorge with Mike MudCrutch Freeman. As we all know the rest is history! Jeff's Jeep is currently sitting at 110" Wheelbase on "Tons" with 42" Mickeys, Three Link in front and four link in the back with coil overs holding everything up. Drive train consists of the stock 4.0, some kind of transmission, a Rubicon transfer case, the Tons have 5.38 gears and lockers in them. All of that keeps Jeff smiling whether on the rocks or cruisin the beach. When you see Jeff congratulate him on receiving this honor.

August 2025 Rig of the Month-
Congratulations to Benny Scott on being chosen K&I Fourwheelers August 2025 "Rig of The Month"! This rig is big in most of the right places.
Benny's rig started as life as a 2009 JKU. May even be a Rubicon model...at least the sticker says so. The jeep has the right mods for the way Benny drives...
Shaved Super Duty axles (probably has a few internal upgrades).
Motobilt Suspension
Can't lose 42s
Rubicrawler T-case
Custom hood clearance mods.
Next time you see Benny congratulate him on receiving this honor!
