K&I August Club Run- Golden Mountain Park
August Club Ride will be at Golden Mountain Park
Date & Time: Saturday, August 16, 2025 · 9:00 AM EST*
Location: Golden Mountain Park, Sparta, TN
K&I is headed to Golden Mountain for a day of proper wheeling. This isn't your mall crawl warm-up. Trails will be technical, spicy, and tire-hungry — so bring 37s or bigger.
What to Expect:
• Trail riding, from mild to “why did I do this”
• Real rigs, real fun, and probably a bit of trail-side wrenching
• Lockers clicking, tires barking, and someone yelling “You’re good!”
Meetup: Golden Mountain main parking lot – EST 9:00 AM K&I Time*
*Which means: aim for 9:00, expect 9:30, roll out when the last guy finally finishes packing his cooler.
Bring the essentials: tools, food, water, recovery gear, and a willingness to get sketchy.

K&I July Club Run- Daniel Boone Safari
July Club Ride will be at Daniel Boone Safari
We are going to have two groups for this ride. One group will go overlanding, while the other will go wheeling as we traditionally do but in safari attire.
Here are the details for the Overlanding group.
This Group will be lead by Stephen Williams and Chris Zink.
Welcome to the DBBB Furnace Overland and Wheeling trip. We'll be taking a nice loop past the old furnaces, through some beautiful countryside, and hitting some fun trails. GPX files are provided. Everyone needs to be fully self-sufficient. This will be a multiday Overlanding/Wheeling Trip. Water, food, libations, camping gear, etc. is your personal responsibility to bring. There will be multiple areas where we can stop and get gas and ice when necessary.
Everyone is welcome to come. We just ask that you meet the basic rig requirements listed below. If you get stuck, we'll help you through it. M/T preferred, A/T ok (you’ll get stuck) NO street tires. Also, these are the hills of Kentucky, so PLEASE remember that there are going to be scratches and scars very likely.
Friday: Camp at Callie's Friday night if interested.
Saturday: 9:00 am: Drivers meeting in trailer parking area in rear of camp at Callie's. Line up 9:15 in front of the camp store. Take your restroom breaks and grab your coffee. Roll out at 9:30 a.m. SHARP. We will be driving through the countryside on asphalt/gravel roads to the furnaces and stopping specifically at Fitchburg Furnace to visit. Our lunch stop will be at Ravenna City Park. There are restrooms, picnic tables, and shelter available. After lunch we will then proceed to Pistol Creek which is a riverbed trail system. The trail is not that difficult, just bumpy and beautiful. There is one, maybe two areas that will be a challenge. It’s not difficult but long wheelbase vehicles WILL bottom out. PLEASE keep in mind there may be damage to stock running boards, etc. Specifically, it is a mud hole with a rock ledge in it. 33’s and a 2.5” lift at the minimum. A stock Rubicon is perfectly fine. Tow points front and rear are an absolute must. No winch is required. The trip will end at Lago Linda Hideaway Campground.
Sunday: Drivers meeting at the restrooms and bathhouse at the rear of the camping area at 9:00 a.m. Leaving 9:15 SHARP. We will be driving just around the corner to Sinking Creek, then over to the new expansion area to Betty Bowman, then to KAT Hard 11. Sinking Creek and Betty Bowman are fun, challenging, but not over the top trails. Those wanting to push to the next level in their skill sets will thoroughly enjoy these trails. I would rate both trails as a medium. 33’s and a 2.5” lift at the minimum but you will be dragging your diff with 33s. A stock Rubicon is perfectly fine. Tow points front and rear are an absolute must. No winch required. The morning will end with KAT Hard 11. There is a major washout on 11 but there is a bypass through the riverbed. There is also a major climb out of the valley at the end of the trail. There is a bypass to this climb but it’s a little steep too. For Hard 11 specifically, 35’s and a 2.5” lift at the minimum. A stock Rubicon is perfectly fine. Tow points front and rear are an absolute must. WINCH REQUIRED. If you are a novice off-road driver, PLEASE do not attempt this trail – yet. The afternoon will end at Red Point BBQ.
Here are the details for the wheeling in safari attire group.
This group will be lead by Michael Snook.
The rig requirements for this group are 37's with front and rear lockers.
We will meet at Hollerwood Offroad Park at 9:30 AM and have a drivers meeting. We will roll out after the drivers meeting. We will be riding in Hollerwood offroad park and will eat lunch on the trail

The April Run is going to be at the Good Evening Ranch (https://thegoodeveningranch.com/) in Canvas, West Virginia, which is located in very close proximity to the New River Gorge. We will go wheeling on Friday & Saturday, and White Water Rafting on Thursday.
I will be guiding a group Friday and Saturday that will be rated as an "Extreme Ride". We will find a guide for an easier group if there is interest. The plan is to either camp or rent cabins at Good Evening Ranch Friday and Saturday nights. If you do not plan to stay at GER the next closest accommodations are in Summersville, WV. Friday we will start wheeling around 10:00 AM and Saturday we will start earlier at 9:00 AM. Please come prepared for a full day of wheeling, with lunch, plenty or fuel, and an appetite for adventure.
For the white water rafting portion of the event, the plan is to stay at Adventures on the Gorge and go on their "Best Run of the Day" trip (https://adventuresonthegorge.com/whi.../best-run-of-the-day/). Group rates start at 15 people, I'll get the details on what this entails and post them as the trip approaches.
