Trail Master -Craig Conely
Name: Craig Conely
Officer position: Trail Master
When did you start 4-wheeling: I started on dirt bikes in my younger days, got tired of falling over and went to quads. I raced GNCC/cross country for a couple years. Rode in a friends Rhino in Harlan and was hooked on having a roll cage! Not long after I had a Rhino. That turned into a RZR, and then some friends bought Jeeps and Samurai’s. Wasn’t long after that I was on big tires!
What year did you join K&I: 2020 is my oldest member shirt, so we’ll go with that!!
What brought you to K&I: Friends I had met at other events were members, came to a few meetings and haven’t left yet!
What kind of rig(s) do you have: Home built Ultra4 4800 class rig (titled as a YJ, with a TJ front end), Fab’n 801 Rock Lizard OG chassis build, 1951 Willys M38. And a daily driver JK minivan that I like driving a lot more than I ever thought I would, probably because it has heat and AC!!
What do you love about off roading?: The amazing friends I have made while being in the woods, disconnected from life. Some of my best friends have come from this hobby.
What are your goals/hopes for the coming year?: I want the club to have turnouts so big we as officers are overwhelmed!! Meet new friends, hit new trails, and offer something for everyone who truly wants to go 4-wheelin’!!
Favorite wheeling destination?: I love being on the trail no matter where it is! Red River Gorge is a place I could see myself moving to. Alabama has some great wheeling I’d love to go back to, but Harlan Ky will always hold a special place in my heart.
